Tim Smit

Tim Smit started his career in music, working as a composer and producer for 10 years. What he is best known for, though, is his environmental work, first rediscovering and restoring the Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall, and going on to co-found one of the world’s most ambitious and stunning horticultural ventures, the Eden Project.
He has been awarded a string of honours for his ground-breaking work, and was appointed a Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty the Queen in 2011.
