Sally Earthrowl

Sally is a Mission Leader and the Head of Action and Outreach with eXXpedition; an organisation running all-female sailing missions carrying out scientific research on plastic pollution and its impact on the health of our oceans and our bodies.

Earlier this year, Sally spent three weeks at sea, sailing across the Pacific Ocean from Hawaii to Vancouver on a 72ft sailing vessel ‘Sea Dragon’. Whilst on board, Sally and the rest of the crew collected samples of oceans micro and macro-plastics and were shocked by the extent of the issue, even in the most remote areas of the planet.

With her teaching background, Sally is keen to share her experience with the younger generation to stimulate discussion on how individuals and communities can take action to contribute to the solutions of this global environmental issue.
