Catherine Mayer

Catherine Mayer is the co-founder, with Sandi Toksvig, of the Women’s Equality Party and is now its President. She published her bestselling biography of Prince Charles, Charles: The Heart of a King, in February 2015. She is also the author of the 2011 book Amortality: The Pleasures and Perils of Living Agelessly.

An award-winning journalist, she started her career as a journalist at the Economist and also worked as a foreign correspondent for the German newsweekly Focus. She joined TIME magazine as Senior Editor in 2004, and during a 11-year tenure went on to serve as London Bureau Chief, Europe Editor and Editor at Large.

She was President of the Foreign Press Association in London from 2003-2005.

She is on the founding committee of the Women of the World Festival (WOW) and is a trustee of the medical charity, the National Migraine Centre.
