Andrea Wulf was born in India, moved to Germany as a child, and now lives in Britain. She is the author of several acclaimed books including The Brother Gardeners and Founding Gardeners. Her latest book The Invention of Nature is about explorer Alexander von Humboldt – the great lost scientist and forgotten father of environmentalism. The Invention of Nature has been shortlisted for the Costa Biography award and was chosen as 10 Best Books of 2015 in the New York Times.
